I got all fired up by ~Hrivalasse's ancient history dolls and decided I WILL DO SOMETHING SUPER-ACCURATE CAROLINGIAN, I was looking for scholarly sources and everything, but sometimes a girl just wants to doll improbable braids and buttloads of gold, you know? No? Just me?

This ended up more Byzantine than anything, mostly by dint of those buttloads of gold. Still more or less fantasy, though. One day I'll do something historically accurate.

You can see the exact point where I threw in the towel on this, I think, but I like the face.

Base is by ~grotesque-lestrange, beheaded as usual.

That is exactly like one of those drawings in medieval manuscripts! The clothing may not be historically correct, but I wouldn't say so, it's epic!
